Create Personnel Subareas:

A personnel subarea is a distinct organizational unit within a company that is structured around specific aspects of human resources, time management, and payroll. The following tasks are associated with the personnel subarea:

• Establishing pay scale and wage type frameworks

• Determining planned working hours

• Setting appraisal criteria

For instance, the Chennai location of Company A is divided by a Poonthamali high road, which may result in different tax or employment offices overseeing the respective regions. In this scenario, you would create a personnel area named "Chennai" along with two corresponding personnel subareas.

It is essential to establish personnel areas.

The standard SAP system includes a default personnel subarea labeled "blank," which can be utilized if no further subdivisions of personnel areas are necessary.

Even if your organization does not utilize personnel subareas within its structure, it is advisable to create at least one personnel subarea (such as "blank") for each personnel area to facilitate the assignment of business characteristics.
