Maintain Controlling Area

Define Controlling Area:

- Establish new controlling area or

- Duplicate existing ones.

A controlling area serves as an organizational unit within Accounting, designed to segment the business organization for cost accounting purposes.

Transaction code :

OKKP



Enter T-code OKKP and hit Enter. This will open the interface.



Select new entries,



Please complete all required fields.

Controlling Area - KK02

Controlling Area refers to the company code.

The company code KK02 has already been established.



Name - KSN Motors,

Assignment control - controlling area same as company code,

Currency Type - only the currency associated with the company code will be shown, as established during the creation of the company code,

Currency - INR,

Chart of Accounts - The default company name has already been selected, and the data has been copied,

Fiscal Year Variant - K4,

CCr Standard Hierarchy - Enter any name; currently, it is set as Kumar.

Now press Enter,

Then click Yes,



Please press the save button.



Select the checkmark icon.



The data has now been saved under the prompt customizing request code. Please click the back button.



Please choose our designated area code KK02 or the one you have already provided.



To create new entries, double-click on the assignment of the company code.

Select new entries.



Select the icon indicated in the image above, and the interface will appear as shown below.



Choose KK02 or the custom code you have created, then press Enter.



The company name will now be automatically displayed alongside the controlling code.

Next, click the save button to successfully assign the controlling area and the company.



1. To activate the components, double-click as illustrated in the image, then select "New Entries."



Please enter the fiscal year, which in this case is the year 2025.

After that, press Enter, and the interface will appear as shown below.



Select the checkmark icon.



Please click the save button now.

The Controlling area KK02 has been established and assigned to the company.
