The Plant is crucial in several key areas:

1.Material Valuation

When the valuation level is set at the facility, material inventories are assessed at that level. This allows for the establishment of specific material prices for each facility, with the possibility of unique account determinations for each location.

2.Inventory Management

Material inventories are overseen within the facility.

3.MRP

Material requirements are scheduled for each facility, with distinct MRP data applicable to each one. Cross-facility analyses for materials planning are also possible.

5.Production

6.Costing

In the costing process, valuation prices are established solely within the facility.

7.Plant Maintenance

If a facility is responsible for maintenance planning tasks, it is designated as a maintenance planning facility. This facility can also undertake planning responsibilities for other facilities designated as maintenance plants.
