Define Storage Location:

A storage location refers to the specific area within a facility where inventory is maintained.

• A plant may contain multiple storage locations.

• Each storage location is defined by a description and must have at least one associated address.

• It is feasible to maintain material data that is unique to each storage location.

• Inventory is tracked solely based on quantity rather than value at the storage location level.

• Physical counts of inventory are conducted at the level of the storage location.

• A storage location can be linked to a warehouse number within the Warehouse Management System, and multiple storage locations can be associated with the same warehouse number in a single plant.

Storage locations are established specifically for a plant.
