Define Shipping Point:

In this phase, you will establish or modify the shipping points within your organization.

To ensure that the functional capabilities of a shipping point align with your company's structure, please follow this checklist:

• The shipping point serves as the primary level for shipping operations within the organization.

• A shipping point may be associated with multiple plants.

• A shipping point can be segmented into various loading points.

• Each delivery is initiated from a single shipping point, meaning all items within a delivery are linked to one shipping point. Similarly, groups of deliveries are also associated with one shipping point.

• Delivery scheduling can be influenced by the allocation to departure zones.

• The system can automatically suggest a shipping point during order processing based on the plant, loading group, and shipping conditions.

• Each shipping point has a designated address.

• Shipping points are utilized as selection criteria for delivery lists and work lists.

• They also serve as selection criteria for processing deliveries, including tasks such as printing, picking, or goods issuance.

• You can specify different printer destinations for shipping documents for each shipping point.
